Comment:

 Thanks Tomeu. We should probably push it to FRS. It does require a reboot
 from clean install, but I think it works after that. Can you tell if that
 will always fix the problem or if there is a chance on some machines that
 the journal might never come up? (I want to leave it in trial-3 until you
 know more. The solution might be better in a later release).
