Comment:

 We suspect of some operation in pyxpcom or pygtk that is not executed
 inside the GIL lock as it should. If we could get a way to reproduce this
 error, we could attach first to the process with gdb and then print a
 backtrace. That should give us an indication of where is missing the lock.
