 I just downloaded a number of .xo files in a row from a target site
 (dev.laptop.org/~holt/bundles), after which nothing appeared in
 /home/olpc/Activities, and a lot of small files appeared in /tmp.

 Each file had around a hundred entries in /tmp of the form
 tmp-<...>activity-<name>.  The download appeared normally in the journal.
 The downloads were sometimes happening two at a time.
