Putting Acoustic Tape Measure on top of your head and on the ground (in
ebook mode). ATM says I'm 1.76 meters tall, and that cjb is 1.86 meters
tall -- that's 5'9" for me and 6'1" for Chris. That's about two inches
short for both of us. Part of that difference is due to the XO sitting on
the ground, where the top speaker is offset by the width of the XO -- but
the XO is not quite two inches thick.

Perhaps there should be a separate mode button on ATM which means "offset
by width of XO" for doing measurements where the *back* of the XO is on
the surface you want to measure.
