 bernie: Sorry I was unclear.  -vmwarevga, the QEMU command-line argument,
 is *QEMU*'s way, apparently only way at the moment (in cvs), of doing
 custom screen sizes.

 Using it apparently requires getting xorg-x11-drv-vmware to work.  Which I
 guess will benefit VMWare Inc too, but that's not the point.  Perhaps
 having Fedora not run flexibly sized on VMWare, until the released qemu
 supports it too, has some minor tactical benefit.  But not being able to
 use 1200x900 with xo emulation on qemu head, is right now putting a real
 crimp in xo X test harness development.
