New description:

We can't possibly scale to the number of machines in G1G1, so cannot have
G1G1 machines go out trying to contact jabber.laptop.org.

So we have to set the jabber server to something other than
jabber.laptop.org to go out on G1G1 and early deployment systems.

Comment:

OK, I've talked with Robert and Scott about this. We can't possibly land
 this patch for Ship.2.

But by setting the hostname to ship2.jabber.laptop.org, we leave the door
open for interesting experiments in the next month or two. This way, the
DNS lookup will fail before trying to do a TCP open on our friendly
jabber.laptop.org server, which we are watching scale up as use on joyride
 machines increase...

 So that's what we'll do for Ship.2....

 Assigning to Scott for execution...

Scott, when you are done, reassign this to the Update.1 milestone as a
blocker, so we keep track of this for the next release.
