Comment:

 It doesn't seem like a problem which can be solved at the journal level to
 me. If we change unique identifier after Update.3, we will have either to
 figure out some sort of mapping (at a lower level) or to accept that
 identity will be lost. In the journal case the problem will be mitigated
 by the fact that the original color/name will be retained, so I don't see
 it as critical.

 I think we should push it to Future unless someone has good ideas on what
 to do about this in practice on the short time.
