Comment:

 After a node sees that someone marks it as a failure it will reset itself.
 By reconnecting the lower-level causal transport (among other things).
 Unfortunately GibberMucConnection was still listening to the connected
 signal and as a result called _connect again, which in turn caused some
 signal handlers to be connected twice.. Which in turn caused this crash.
