 My guess is that the activity is trying to load all the objects you have
 in the DS for displaying the object chooser dialog. Instead of doing that,
 it should retrieve the data lazily in chunks like we are doing in the
 journal activity.

 The object chooser dialog was implemented as a proof of concept for trial2
 and hasn't been updated much since then.

 The plan is for the journal to offer a dbus method that will display the
 dialog similarly to what we are doing now. This is also needed by Rainbow
 for controlling activities access to the DS.
