 Sometimes, when changing the zoom level in the browser activity, it
 crashes.

 Steps to reproduce:

 1. Go to maps.google.com (my favorite browser stress-test)
 2. click the "view" tab, then click "zoom out"

 Expected results:
 Everything shrinks, meaning the images are unscaled which speeds up the
 map scrolling considerably.

 Actual results:
 Sometimes this works, but sometimes it crashes.

 Reproducability:
 Pretty often, maybe 50% of the time.
