  I only have a USB key, and so I use it to copy files, and install new
 images on the XO.
 More than one time, I've left the usb plugged in while restarting, and had
 it overwrite the OS on the XO. While no harm comes of this (by default, it
 backs up the files, and won't replace the one on the XO with a lower-
 numbered build), it still can replace a user-customized system.
