 Let me get back to you on that.  I have a slightly revised design for the
 Journal which may affect our decision here.  I also think that we might
 want, in general, some form of visual feedback for hover/press of icons,
 even if that's distinct from the toolbar buttons.  How hard is it to
 achieve this in either manner, and would it be worth adding the
 functionality now (without the visual) until we choose a final path for
 the visual design?
