 I've turned on the code to start sending email warnings. If it causes a
 ruckus, someone with access to root on xs-dev can disable it either by
 reverting to an
 appropriate parent commit or by commenting out a couple of lines in

   collect-pkgs.py:BuildBranch.collect()

   in /home/cscott/private_git (or by changing
 email_warnings.py:send_msgs() in the same directory)

 As a slight improvement, we should inform the collection script of the
 current build number so that we can give the emails a more informative
 subject line.

 Finally, we should see if we can think of a decent way to handle
 errors here, both those arising from an inability to connect to the
 SMTP server or from individual message-sending failures. I'm currently
 catching individual failures but am _not_ catching connection failures
 on the theory that the build should fail hard if it's unable to talk to
 the SMTP server at all...
