 I have a screen that's showing 14 filled and 2 blank squares.

 13 of the filled squares have the red it-matched border.  The 14th
 doesn't.  This state is stable.  It should not be possiblle to get into
 this state.

 The box without a border doesn't match any of the other 13 boxes.

 Selecting the 2 remaining boxes and their matching boxes doesn't do
 anything.

 My guess would be a race condition, but that's just a guess.
