 #1589 implemented blocking of flash animations, allowing to start or hide
 them on one click.

 The placeholder is right now quite ugly.

 Eben has provided some mockups in that other ticket abut how it should
 look, but implementing that doesn't look easy, as couldn't find a way of
 referencing images from the local filesystem in the placeholder (due to
 security restrictions).

 This ticket is composed of two action items:

  - Implement a basic place holder using only text.
  - Investigate the possibility of using local images from the placeholder.

 The attached patch shows how the placeholder html can be manipulated using
 javascript.
