 I have a gtk.Notebook with multiple pages, each with a Canvas. There's a
 button to show or hide this notebook (Lesson Plans).

 When I cycle the open and close it eventually kills the activity with a
 bunch of assertion errors on the log. It seems to me that I'm deleting the
 widget before it gets fully created, and when Canvas tries to attach
 itself to a Window, it no longer exists.

 I tried to shield myself from this by only allowing the delete after one
 of the Canvas map-event, but still to no avail.

 I attach the log for one of such sessions, and if you want to reproduce
 it, use slider-puzzle activity and open and close the Lesson Plans
 consecutively.
