#4909: Activities shoud be able to launch other activities
---------------------+------------------------------------------------------

Comment(by mstone):

 Marco, Eben, and I talked about this on #sugar extensively this afternoon.
 Our conclusions were:

 0) The use case is: "Some data originates in an activity that should be
 processed by a different activity."

   Example: The user clicks a hyperlink in Chat. Browse should be launched.
   Example: The users hits 'View Source' in Browse. Activity XXX (currently
 Write?) should be launched.

 1) At its current priority level, we do not think we can validate and
 implement a new design for fulfilling this use-case in time for Update.1.

 2) We think we have two known-safe work-arounds; namely, to use either the
 clipboard or the Journal as a staging point.

    Example: Copy the link to the clipboard and paste it into Browse.
    Example: 'View Source' causes Browse to save the page's source code to
 the Journal, where it can be launched.

 We are left with the question: "How much are we willing to compromise the
 existing design in order to reduce the aggravation of the suggested
 workaround?"
