Old description:

New description:

 The find feature in write is supposed to incrementally highlight matches
 while typing.  When there is only one occurrence, this doesn't work very
 well, and it frequently highlights only one letter and not the whole query
 string.

 This might, in fact, be a side effect of the cycling behavior that occurs
 when there ''are'' multiple occurrences (#4861).  It might be better to
 tackle that first.
