Comment:

 The cause of this is that sugar identifies buddies by key, and non-OLPC
 buddies all have no key, so sugar's MeshModel (and a whole lot of other
 code) can't distinguish between more than one non-OLPC buddy.

 Patch herewith for Sugar.
