Comment:

The permissions on /dev/snd/* and /dev/video0 are confirmed to be fixed by
rainbow-0.7.4 which is available since joyride-258 and has been tagged
into update1 in Koji [hence will be available in the next update1 build].

The remaining sound problems appear to be independent of activity
isolation being on or off. We know that alsa is sometimes muted by
default. Simon Schampijer is working on fixing this. However, Kim and Eric
 B. report that they can't play sound in TamTam or Pippy even when alsa is
fully unmuted and all channel's gain-sliders are set to reasonable levels.
They also note that the LED for the microphone comes on early in the boot
 sequence and remains on.

Reassigning to distro and removing the rainbow-integration problem.
