 Write is always write, but I use abiword Canvas for showing read-only
 documents.

 I don't show any buttons hence the alterations done will never be written
 anywhere, but it would still be better to have a real read-only mode in
 abiword: no right-click context menu (ok, copy only would be cool) and no
 editing allowed (but selecting and, again, copying could be helpful).
