Comment:

 Attaching proposed patches, which allow boolean 'private', string 'tags'
 and string 'color' in the properties dict, and reject anything else (so
 you get a D-Bus error if you do it wrong, rather than properties getting
 ignored silently).

 The properties dict appears to have been intended for custom activity-
 specific properties, which we don't support any more, so we might as well
 repurpose it as Bert suggests.
