I have no idea what I am being asked to do differently in future.
The milestone was set by someone else (jg), from the default Untriaged, to
Future Features. I would be unsurprised to find the only milestone I have
ever set is "Opportunity", and that when it was the sole category for
"it's clear 1cc won't care about this any time soon".
I just provide the bug reports, and sometimes my thoughts on their
significance. Managing core team focus is not my job.
But suggestions on how to better support it would be welcome. I'm already
selectively not filing bug reports when the topic seems unlikely to be a
priority, or subject to remedy. And I'm staying out of core team trac
discussions, even when the focus seems to me odd, to avoid adding noise or
misshaping such discussions. And I have been declining the repeated
suggestions of core team folks, that I use trac to help coordinate
community software development, pointing out this would be incompatible
with the current inward-focused trac usage, and that even tickets which
slightly resemble such use are being actively discouraged. It's clear
trac is managing a largely internal process, and thus I am already
endeavoring to be "hands off". But I'm open to suggestions on how to be
more so, or otherwise how to better help out.
I realize everyone is extraordinarily busy. No reply needed. Simply
flagging my puzzlement.
