Comment:

At the San Francisco airport I tried to connect to the local Tmobile
service. The laptop associated and authenticated properly; from the mesh
view I can see that the AP labeled 'tmobile' is solid with the outside
 ring flashing.

From the browser window I type www.google.com and got redirected to the
tmobile site, but most of the links on that page just hang the browser.
The one I found that didn't hang was 'login', but I had no login, so it
 just failed.

I tried to get a view source on the page; abiword started up, but there
 was nothing there.

 The url redirect is: cust.hotspot.t-mobile.com

Most of the links on this page seem to hang our browser. If you already
have a login, that piece works. If you need to set up an account... no
 luck.
