Comment:

 We're not sure that the suggested fix will fully solve this, but it should
 go some way towards addressing it.

 Proposed patch will be attached (this is the diff between Salut snapshots
 20071102.2 and 20071106.1). I'll upload to jhbuild but not Joyride while
 the rel-eng people consider it (is this right?)
