 We should turn off the "console=ttyS0,115200" stanza in /boot/olpc.fth
 before Update.1, since writing to serial synchronously is slowing down
 suspend/resume.  I don't know exactly what the speed decrease is yet, so
 we need to quantify that first; my attempts at turning off the console
 haven't resulted in a speedup for some reason.
