Comment:

 I pushed new code in joyride which uses XShmGetImage and does conversion
 to png and scaling separately. I think there is space for improvement
 (especially in the Activity code) and we could try out scaling on the
 server side to improve performance. Though from the quick testing I did
 stuff looks in a decent shape.

 So I'm closing this, please report any issue you find with the previews as
 separate tickets.
