Replying to [ticket:1628 marco]:
After a content/activities meeting with Walter, the list of base
activities for Trial-2 is designated by the 'Y' in the 'base' column. But,
having said that, we need to prioritize these in case some are not ready
for Trial-2.
I have made the 'Y' bold for the high priority activities and added notes
about whether the activity will be represented by a sugar icon at start
up. Here is a list as of today (5/31/07):
Browse
Write
Chat (not necessarily a sugar icon; can be initiated from mesh)
Paint
Camera
Etoys
TamTam
Also, collaboration for some activites is very high on the priority list.
Games (block party and connect) are not on the list for 'base' product. We
need to have an easy access page for adding on these items as they are
great for demos, etc.
The other 'Y's in the table should be in the product at a lower priority,
and many of them do not have a representative icon in the start up sugar
task bar. (Walter wants to keep the number of icons in the base product to
<10.)
Instead of keeping a bug open for this, I would like to recommend that
everyone refer to the 'Activities' wiki page as the source list of what we
want in Trial-2. Will that work?
> I think we should make a call about which activities we ship with
Trial-2. It will be possible to install additional activities from the web
with a couple of clicks.
