Comment:

 I think it's clear that we cannot ever make the assumption that an
 activity should be force quit. However, we can certainly try to detect
 this case and provide an ''alternate'' quit option when this occurs.  This
 can go in one or both of two places:

  1. The rollover for the stop/end/quit button in the activity toolbar of
 the activity.  This will depend on whether  or not that button is an icon
 & text button (with no rollover) or an icon button (with rollover
 palette).
  2. The rollover for the activity in the activity ring.  I think we should
 definitely place it here, but that also makes the assumption that the
 keystroke for "return to home" is always responsive.  Can we be sure of
 that?

 In both cases, the standard 'stop/end/quit' button should still be
 available.
