 I had trouble getting sugar running on my machine (using sugar-jhbuild).
 The issue turned out to be that sugar-emulator tried to use a display that
 was already in use. I'm using an Ubuntu Feisty machine (with Xgl). Ports
 600x port are apparently not opened, but there are some lock-files named
 /tmp/.X%d-lock. The attached replacement for get_display_number() in
 sugar-emulator includes checking for those lock-files, and fixes my
 problem.
