Comment:

 The operation of the SPI write protect was tested and it functioned
 correctly.

 NOTE: The proper bits in the SPI status register must be set correctly for
 the write protect input to operate correctly.   The status of the write
 protect may easily be determined by attempting to change an innocuous bit
 in the control register (such as the bit which determines if the control
 register is protected by WP, which must be set).
