 Thanks for the comment - I have some naive questions though:
  * I don't understand what you mean by an angular metric: What is the
 origin of the distance computation you are referring to?  Are you
 proposing something like polar coordinates where we can keep the same
 angular coordinate and only scale a radial coordinate by the desired
 resolution?
  * I thought that as long as we keep the same aspect ratio as the XO
 screen, we can use cartesian coordinates that have the range [0,1]
 (inclusive), and just scale by the current screen dimensions we want to
 use - is this not true?

 Any hints, or pointers to other resources are much appreciatted.
