 When opening the browser and navigating to about:config and setting up a
 proxy, it is not used?

 How can one overcome this problem? export http_proxy=http://myproxy works
 fine in the console.

 We are using this OLPC version: olpc-redhat-stream-development-
 build-406-20070507_2141-devel_ext3.img
