Comment (by dwmw2):
Segher has reverse-engineered the algorithm used, in the absence of
documentation from Marvell, and has extended the kernel's RS library to
handle it. The fix is now merged into the upstream kernel, and is also in
the olpc-2.6.git tree. Commits d5da6fe2a5fb2d18dda57d3c894b743821c5f36d
and 751f209d5f913aa7e2f8b6a1e510dffeb50e10a8 (cherry-picked from upstream
commits 8c61b7a7f4d4e46be61cf1777361749b2d300c14 and
d7e5a5462f68270ed66efff22b1981be57a28c19 resp.)
