#1198: Please provide unionfs in the OLPC kernel

Given the way OLPC upgrades the OS in a laptop (with a flamethrower),
users need to be able to put their permanent data somewhere other than on
the main NAND filesystem. Yet this data should be able to appear anywhere
in the filesystem space, e.g. as config files in /etc or as user files in
/home.
If the kernel provides unionfs, then users can simply install a $9 1GB SD
card in the slot, and union mount that filesystem on top of root's.
They'd have to reinstall that mount into /etc/fstab after each OS upgrade,
and examine their r/w filesystem to see what things changed underneath the
control files they'd edited.
