 The activity name is there in argv[]. (in the /proc/*/cmdline file)

 When in top, hit the "c" key. That causes top to report argv[] instead of
 reporting the first 15 characters of the executable's filename. You might
 also want to hit "f", eliminate undesired fields, then use "w" (from main
 screen) to write all your changes to a ~/.toprc file.

 For ps, add "-f" when not using BSD options. Add "-ww" too if argv[] is
 getting cut off. You can also just switch to BSD options or specify the
 format exactly via something like "-o stat,pcpu,pmem,rss,vsz,args".
