 No, not at all strange.

 I believe I explained this before (in another trac bug).

 Windows hardwires 96 DPI into *everything*.  Therefore Owen did the
 sensible thing for GTK, and followed the same tack. Gecko probably does
 likewise.

 So messing with the DPI that applications *think* they are using just
 breaks web layouts right and left.

 Chalk one up to "standards....
