Comment:

 mjg59 recommends by starting by diking out the vt switch code in
 kernel/power.c.

 Having before/after data on our machine is both of serious marketing value
 on to us, and to make the case on LKML about needing change in this area.

 cjb could you do the experiment and report the results?

 We also won't get glitchless suspend/resume on the screen till we do this,
 so this is one of the early key suspend/resume items to get done.
