#988: EC code, putchar XON/XOFF handling and crlf conversion
-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
Reporter: frief | Owner: ray.tseng at quantatw.com
Type: defect | Status: closed
Priority: normal | Milestone: CTest
Component: embedded controller | Resolution: wontfix
Keywords: EC uart serial watchdog |
-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
Changes (by wmb at firmworks.com):
* status: new => closed
* resolution: => wontfix
Comment:
This is not worth worrying about. The EC serial port signals will be
protected against easy access (covered with epoxy or something) in the
final version of the circuit board. Even without that protection, if you
open up the case there are any number of ways to break the machine.
If we ever do a ground-up rewrite of the EC code, we will probably remove
the XOFF thing, but until then, this is a non-issue.
