packages that need to be installed, but only installs one package. If you
run it again, it installs another package, etc., until finally there are
no missing prerequisites and it installs the actual packages you were
requesting.
I've seen this as well; it seems it is simply running out of
memory (but not giving any error message). Switch to
runlevel 1 before running yum and everything appears to
work fine.
