#1105: trapped in gnash (matchbox/sugar/browser bugs?)

I went to a web site (URL below) to look at a dancing ant. I clicked on
the various options to make him dance, choose music, etc. The flash seemed
to misbehave, though I don't know what it normally looks like.
Then I believe the web browser crashed. There is no evidence of an OOM
situation in dmesg output. I ended up with a full-screen gnash, using a
raw GTK GUI with a very non-Sugar menu bar across the top. In the frame,
there was no evidence of the web browser and thus no way to exit. I looked
at the about dialog, confirming that this was indeed gnash. I looked at
the preferences dialog. Here I got even more stuck, with no way to close
the dialog.
I used Alt-Ctrl-F1 to get a command line. A ps command showed a sugar-
activity-factory webactivity thing with two gnash children, one a zombie.
The non-zombie one had the crash URL in the the command line, which is
where I'm reporting it from.
I killed the non-zombie gnash, creating a second zombie. The sugar-
activity-factory thing is still there. It has 6 threads. The first thread
is sleeping in pipe_wait. The other threads are also sleeping, but the
kernel fails to report where.
Now I use Alt-Ctrl-F7 to get back into X. Sugar once again thinks there is
a web browser. Something is full-screen but not redrawing; there are
remnants of Sugar's frame on that broken app to make things confusing.
Selecting the web browser does not provide a kill/share drop-down.
Back to the command line to kill sugar-activity-factory... OK, that fixes
it.
Here is the URL. Probably geocities will refuse a direct link to the
flash; you might need to load a page or two.
