 For B3, the thermometer should be placed on the motherboard in a place
 where from the reading the ambient temperature outside the laptop can be
 approximated.  The GX2 runs about 30C+ of ambient when full on, and
 perhaps that is a way to extract ambient.

 Why I care
 1) battery charging rituals change at high temps - and damage NiMH at 45C.
 2) the LED lightbar liftime is affected - at high temps, the current in
 the led lightbar that illuminates the LCD from behind can be turned down.
 if we know it's hot. Thus the lightbar can achieve a 5 year lifeitme.
