 The big issue here with all of this, of course, is that Develop is
 currently unable to branch all of the upstream activities, because they
 use git.

 Bazaar does offer a "foreign branch" feature, but this feature requires
 git to be installed, and git cannot handle dropping revisions, thus making
 bundles far too large.
