Comment:

 Hmmm....  Me smells an interesting little application here to use the
 camera if nothing else is using it....  Say 1 tiny frame every few
 seconds.

 I don't know how much power the camera takes, or how long it takes to
 powerup/down, however; this should be studied before someone tries to
 write such a backlight control.
