 It turns out that the straps on LX can be used in software mode, just like
 on the GX, but they can also be used to automatically configure the PLL.

 I have worked out a simple recipe for reading the IDE data lines.

 So let's use the IDE Data lines for the board ID.  There are 16 of them,
 more than enough.  Let's reserve 6 bits,  IDE DATA[5:0] for the board ID.

 For the first board, pull IDE DATA[5:1] up and IDE DATA[0] down.  The pins
 float high, so we should use 0 as the active state.
