> This has been discussed before - "seeing" involves eyes and brains. And
while young kids eyes may be "better" than adults, their brains stll have
to develop, and learn seeing, reading, etc. That's why kids text books are
using a larger font size than what adults are used to.
Nope. Kids books have large fonts because:
1. there are few words, so a big font is harmless
1. kids books are marketed to parents, who have money and bad eyes
This is supposed to be for the 5th grade and above too, right? The 5th
grade students will want to read normal web pages with normal layout.
Web sites can use huge fonts. It's much more reasonable to expect that a
web site for a 1st-grade class will use huge fonts than it is to expect
that all the web sites in the world will find some way to overcome the
messed-up sizing.
