 Replying to [ticket:1014 rchokshi]:

I am very perplexed by the single hop results. How close are the 2 nodes?

Here's an SCP session that I run today in our very noisy environment
 (noise level: ~ -62dBm)

 [root at mshy10 ~]# scp
 kernel-2.6.21-20070305.1.olpc.2b9aaacb4e32a7f.i586.rpm root at mshy9:

 kernel-2.6.21-20070305.1.olpc.2b9aaacb4e32a7f.i586.rpm
 100% 3673KB 367.3KB/s 00:10

This is Kbytes/sec (not Kbits)and presents end-to-end application level
 performance including encryption/decryption.
