#1018: /etc/rc.local is not running?

 I have a 4 gig SD card that I keep in my laptop, and I've added a line to
 /etc/rc.local to mount it on boot (since there's no automount, hint hint).

 This used to work up to build 270 or so, but lately it's stopped working.
 After I boot, the device is not mounted. If I cut and paste the line in
 /etc/rc.local that performs the mount, it works.

 the line I use is:
 {{{
 mount -o uid=500,gid=500 /dev/mmcblk0p1 /media/4gsd
 }}}

 I don't really know how to analyze the problem to figure out if
 /etc/rc.local isn't running, or perhaps the device isn't detected at the
 time it is run, or what. All I know is that it used to work.

 This is with build 296 on a b2.
