 With the latest TamTam (bundle 19 on build 285)  Running as user VS root
 affects performance in a great way.  As root we can renice and there is no
 hickups in the sound at all.  As user, redraws of the screen in TamTam
 edit causes the sound to glitch.  As suggested during the conference call,
 we will wait for the performance fixes that will arrive shortly and will
 perform some profiling both as root and as user.
