 Mark and I discussed scaling down to .5MB SPI 6 months ago, after
 switching to OFW, and the conclusion was that the price gain is absolutely
 not worth it, as we can use the extra space for anything from diagnostics
 to another copy of the BIOS.

 As for having the space to do another copy, yes, we should have the space.
 We had 585K free out of 1M, _with_ LinuxBIOS and VSA, and without the
 wireless firmware (about 64K) and startup sound (50K). Mitch's fastboot
 version is 370K without LB and VSA, so if you add 110K for sound+wireless,
 it's still below 500K. And of the 370K, 64K is the EC code which we
 wouldn't copy.
